Bureau of Urban Architecture (Bureau) is providing an opportunity for creative and talented aspiring architects to take part in our internship project in our Sydney studio in Darlinghurst.

The project will involve a team of 6 students participating in a few competitions while being mentored and guided by the director, associates and senior staff.



At Bureau, we have a strong focus on place-making, sustainability and architecture which connects with the spirit of place. We seek solutions that are both unique to the place and differentiated in terms of brand, product and the marketplace. The current focus is on private sector development work in residential and mixed-use projects.



  • Preferred education in Architecture, Design, Structural Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Interest should be in masterplanning, urban design, feasibility, concept design, design development and documentation stages of residential, office, retail and mixed-use buildings.
  • Candidates should possess good communication skills, technical abilities and be motivated to take on project responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Revit and InDesign highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and 3D Studio Max also desirable.
  • Domestic and International students are welcome to apply.

NOTE: the project does not pay a salary but bonuses, training, and career development is available for anyone with passion and drive.
