Bureau of Urban Architecture (Bureau) is providing an opportunity for a talented and driven journalism student to work as a research assistant and writer on the creation of a book on architecture. We will meet in our office weekly to conduct interviews with senior architects and related industry professionals. The candidate will be mentored by a previous journalist.



At Bureau, we have a strong focus on place-making, sustainability and architecture which connects with the spirit of place. We seek solutions that are both unique to the place and differentiated in terms of brand, product and the marketplace. The current focus is on private sector development work in residential and mixed-use projects.



  • Preferred education in Architecture, Journalism, or Marketing.
  • Interest in architecture and great listening skills is a must.
  • Candidates should possess good communication skills, technical abilities and be motivated to take on project responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Word or Pages with a typing speed above 60 wpm.
  • Domestic and International students are welcome to apply.


NOTE: the project does not pay a salary but bonuses, training, and career development is available for anyone with passion and drive.
