Our client owns a substantial site located in Sydney’s south on the Princes Highway at Banksia only 200m from Banksia train station. The suburb of Banksia is perfectly placed to the CBD of Sydney being only 20 mins drive away even in traffic and only 10 mins drive to the airport, however, notwithstanding its convenient location the area has suffered over the years through limited and poor development.

Much like Parramatta Road, the Princes Highway is a linear corridor lined with retail uses that are blighted by heavy traffic, limited pedestrian activity, limited parking and a general lack of place.

We were engaged to re-envision Banksia in Sydney’s south and incorporate our client’s site to encourage new planning outcomes. Working closely with the local Council planning staff we have created a new town centre concept, new public open space and park, a new residential precinct incorporating 650 apartments, a neighbourhood retail centre and office space.
